A powered seven-port hub for desks that ran out of USB sockets. Each port has its own switch, so an external drive can be powered down safely without unplugging anything, and the LED tells you at a glance which ports are live.
The bundled 12V 3A adapter matters: unpowered hubs cannot supply enough current for portable hard drives or charging phones, and that is where cheap hubs usually fail. The aluminium shell spreads the heat that seven active ports generate.
